WEEK FOUR, Wednesday

Wednesday. The “We’re not in Kansas anymore” PT challenge! Stairwell stations, rubber band resistance drills, & hills were on tap first thing in the morning. Great workout & exhausting, but so worth it! Was able to get in some lifting, cycling, & swimming, prior to the afternoon round robin classes of media interviewing, promotional panels, & at-risk employees. Got to have a final dinner with a former HPD officer, who is now graduating from the FBI. Great job to him! Well, that is all for today. Aloha!

WEEK FOUR, Tuesday

Tuesday. Classes were great today, as always. PT in the afternoon & did the brick challenge activities. We voted for a section representative today, too. Didn’t realize how competitive it was to be chosen for that position. Had to be nominated first and the class would vote on who would be it. Interesting. Stopped by the FBINAA office for the first time to check it out. A lot of cool patches on the cubicle from all over the nation and world. Anyway, I was pretty exhausted after all the physical activities that I did earlier. Time to reenergize the batteries for tomorrow’s PT challenge. Always look forward to a physical challenge! I love it!!

WEEK FOUR, Monday

Ahh, good ole Monday! Started off the day right by being interviewed in class by a former TV reporter (now our instructor). It was very stressful and nerve wracking, but muddled through it well. It was amazing how and what they taught us came shining through. The rest of the day were other classes and we also had a presentation by our very own classmate about the Orlando PD recent tragic event. Between classes, caught sight of a display with police patches in it. It was presented to the NA as a gift from the 88th session. Man, the display looked almost new! It was presented in November 1971...before I was born! Amazing! Oh & yes, we do attend classes and have a lot of homework, so it’s not all play here. Lol!

THE WEEKEND, Sunday (Gettysburg Horse Tour)

The Gettysburg Battlefields Horse Tour. Highly recommended! Such a great tour to see one of the most pivotal and prolific battlefields of the Civil War. Seeing the hallowed grounds by horse made it a truly special experience and a MUST do for every American citizen (to visit the site mainly, by vehicle or horse). Many firsts for me today, visited Maryland, Pennsylvania, & riding a horse. A historical day for me! The lady in charge of the horse I mounted even commented, “You sure this is your first time on a horse?! You seem like an expert!” Just gotta be confident in the face of fear (yes, I was apprehensive, since it was the first time for me, but overcame the uncomfortable by being comfortable).
