THE FINAL DAY, Saturday

The final day, Saturday. Woke up at 3:15am to get ready for the shuttle. Said goodbye to my room (entire floor was vacated) and went down the elevator. No emotions today. Wanted to just get home. Spilled my tears yesterday seeing everyone off. Got picked up at 4am by the Chop Chop shuttle service (highly recommend) and went to Reagan National Airport. Boarded the JetBlue flight to Boston and no hiccups! After arriving in Boston, it was a bit of a walk to the gate for Hawaiian Airlines. First time in Boston. It looked beautiful there! Will visit one day. It was an awesome flight back to Honolulu. No hiccups there. Once arrived, man it was hot here in Honolulu! Gotta get used to the heat again. Reflecting back to my first blog transmission, I was nervous and apprehensive of what was to come. I did, I enjoyed, I overcame. The nerves and apprehension are over. It’s all great experiences now. Mahalo nui loa to all my classmates and instructors for the wonderful memories! This is my last entry in this blog. Take care and good luck to the Session 278 and all future sessions!!

WEEK TEN, Friday (Graduation Day)

Friday. Graduation Day! Exciting morning in anticipation for this day. Got dressed and reported to homeroom to set up. Lined up and the ceremony commenced. It flew by and was a blur, but it was great! After it was over, I got really emotional and held back my tears. It was finally over, but knew that I’m going to miss everyone. Seeing everyone leave really hit me hard, as I had to remain back. Went to workout after everyone left. I broke down in the weight room. Felt better after that. After my final dinner here, spent the evening with the remaining international students on the patio. It was great to talk story with them. We even played songs on the phones from each other’s countries. Well, I will have one final transmission on my way home. I will turn in for the night and say Aloha to the NA. Mahalo nui loa, FBI for the great adventure and priceless experience. Mahalo nui loa and a hui hou!

WEEK TEN, Thursday

Thursday. Graduation prep & family tour day. Spent the morning packing to move out and went out to lunch with the NA pals & family. Mission BBQ is the bomb! We should have gone there earlier. Shucks! We then went back to campus to take a final tour with the families of others. We then went back out to dinner at Nara Thai next to Kim’s Barber Shop. It was really good. Rained pretty hard when we were eating. It let up after we finished dinner. Another great day and evening! Tomorrow is graduation.
